DIM
- Supports natural estrogen balance
- May help symptoms of estrogen dominance
- Softgels, 60 servings (2-month supply)
Estrogen needs to be cleared from the body in three steps.
Step 1: DIM frees oxidized estrogens in Phase I and the estrogens are passed on to Phase II liver detoxification.
Step 2: Toxins (including "dirty" estrogens) get passed on to the sulfation pathway where they are neutralized. Sulforaphane (Brocco Power) plays a role here.
Step 3: Toxins (including "dirty" estrogens) get passed on to the glucuronidation pathway where they are bound up by glucaric acid (Calcium D-Glucarate) and then fully eliminated from the body.
To graphically explain where DIM, Sulforaphane, and Calcium d-Glucarate play a role in your body, think of a clogged toilet that consists of a toilet bowl and a drain.
With DIM, you have just unclogged your toilet bowl but not the drain. DIM can open the toilet bowl but it's the sulforaphane (and Calcium d-Glucarate) that opens the drain.
Take one softgel per day, or as directed by your heath care practitioner. Can be taken after or in between meals.
Diindolylmethane
Other Ingredients: Medium Chain Triglycerides, Vitamin E, Sunflower Lecithin; Gelatin, Purified Water, Glycerine, Annatto (Softgel Ingredients)

DIM upregulates Phase I liver detoxification which is important in estrogen clearing (and to mitigate symptoms of Estrogen Dominance) but it’s not the only liver detoxification pathway used by the body to clear “dirty” estrogens and mitigate symptoms. We also need support for Phase II liver detoxification to fully address Estrogen Dominance.
If you feel worse after taking DIM, you can support Phase II detoxification with Brocco Power (sulforaphane) and Calcium D-Glucarate for complete Natural Estrogen Balance.
